about.md

Hi, I'm Nikki. Backend developer, architect and a fox girl.

Six years designing and building server-side systems. My core stack is Rust and Kotlin, with Elixir and Python alongside. I build Telegram bots, parsers and full platforms from scratch. CEO of my own development studio — on projects I combine development with tech lead and architect roles.

My stack

Not a list of technologies for the sake of a résumé line, but tools for specific jobs. For each one: why I use it, how long I have written in it, and what I actually build with it.

Main language. I reach for it where predictability and low latency matter: high-load services, data processing, platform cores.

Came in for one specific project and stayed. I use it for JVM services and tasks where development speed matters without giving up strict types.

In use

I reach for it where massive concurrency and tolerance to partial failure matter: the BEAM holds tens of thousands of lightweight processes, and one crashing doesn't take the system down.

Where: microservices, concurrency

Task-specific

When getting the result fast matters more than running fast: prototypes, one-off data processing, scripts.

Replaces "Postgres for everything" where the load is wide and distributed. Predictable latency at volume.

I run my own development studio: hiring the team, working with clients, owning the whole result.

I design the system end to end: stack choice, service boundaries, storage model, what scales and why.

In active use

I lead the team without stopping writing code. That keeps estimates honest.

I plan architecture expecting it to be maintained: someone will be extending this code a year and three years from now.

My projects

There have been a lot of orders over the years — Telegram bots, parsers, platforms from scratch. Most of it lives with clients under NDA, so I show what I can show.

HOKS/ 2025—2026

architecture · backend · product logic

A single platform for booking sports venues, finding players and teams, and taking part in tournaments and the city's sporting life. Designed end to end: service boundaries, data model, and the product logic of three connected areas.

Booking

Esports clubs, football pitches and tennis courts — search by district, filters, time slots and booking confirmation in one flow.

Matchmaking

Finding players, opponents and teams, separately from booking. Minimum fields up front — not twenty attributes for the sake of one game.

Tournaments and ratings

Football, tennis and esports tournaments, player profiles, team cards, highlights and an awards system.
